Mindfulness Monday at the new Gathering Space

Location

On Campus : The Gathering Space

Date & Time

September 13, 2021, 12:00 pm1:30 pm

Description

Join us for our Mindfulness Monday Series Kick-Off! We will be exploring what does it mean to be connected to nature through a guided walk/hike that begins at The Gathering Space for Spiritual Well-Being. Some reflections we will engage in are: how do we connect to nature as part of our life practice? What lessons from nature can we learn to incorporate into our lives? What are ways we can continue to remain connected to nature? How does nature help us to tap into mindfulness? We will be walking/hiking around campus and will be using a gentle path around the Pig Pen Pond. Snacks will be provided at the end of the program.

As part of this program, we acknowledge that the natural land we are connecting to is the traditional and ancestral homelands of the Piscataway Conoy & Susquehannock Nations.

Please reach out to i3b@umbc.edu to share any accesibility concerns you have related to this particular walk/hike and aim to provide relevant information and accomodations.

Our i3b staff strives to create the most inclusive environment possible. If you need to request a disability-based accommodation or have any questions, contact us at i3b@umbc.edu.
