Jodi Crandall Fellowship for Research in Language, Literacy and Culture
In honor of a lifetime of achievement and to recognize Jodi Crandall’s 14 years as the founding director of the Language, Literacy, & Culture doctoral program, we have established the Jodi Crandall Fellowship for Research in Language, Literacy and Culture.
This fund will provide modest support for collaborative, interdisciplinary research by LLC students who plan to work with any of the following:
• Other LLC students
• LLC regular or affiliate faculty
• LLC graduates
Applicants will submit a brief proposal that will be considered by the Crandall Fund Advisory Board, which will be selected by the LLC chair. Applications will be considered once a year, and successful projects may reapply for funding for an additional year.
Grant recipients will be expected to disseminate their work through avenues such as formal or informal talks on campus and in the community, at conferences, on the LLC website, in publications (paper or online), and/or through ongoing online updates.
If you want to share in honoring Jodi and in supporting collaborative graduate student research in the program she founded, then please consider giving generously to the new fellowship.
