Catherine Myers – Program Coordinator catmyers@umbc.edu
Cathy began working with the Language, Literacy, and Culture program in February 2025. She brings prior UMBC experience in Human Resources as well as Student Conduct and Community Standards. Cathy holds an A.A. and a B.S. in Elementary Education from Harford Community College and Coppin State University, respectively, as well as a certification in Baking and Pastry Skills from Anne Arundel Community College. In May 2026, she earned a Master of Professional Studies in Community Leadership at UMBC.
In addition to her work in LLC, Cathy is active in shared governance as a member of the Exempt Staff Senate (ESS) and also serves as a UMBC ESS representative on the Council of University System Staff (CUSS).
In her spare time, Cathy enjoys spending time with her husband, two adult children, and two resident cats. She loves baking, knitting, watching Nordic noirs, and fostering cats and kittens.
