Tips for Adult Learners in Finding Careers and Economic Opportunity
Any job search can be a long and arduous road, but it can feel even longer for adult learners. In this session, we will discuss the importance of knowing how your values, interests, and skills come together to help narrow your job search focus and how one can craft a story to highlight your life and learning experiences.
Our presenter is Dr. Ashley Waters who is an organizer, maximizer, creator, and evaluator committed to continuous learning and deepening community impact. With degrees in Public Administration and Nonprofit Management, Ashley enjoys helping organizations and people create and sustain momentum. She currently serves as the Executive Director of Woman to Woman Mentoring and teaches at Frederick Community College. Ashley previously served as the Director of Shady Grove Operations for UMBC before relocating to Frederick.
