SGA President/VP Candidates' Debate
We, the undergraduate students of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), are and wish to be deeply involved in creating the university’s academic, co-curricular and community life to ensure a distinctive undergraduate experience. In order to better organize and support our creative contributions, identify and give voice to our hopes and concerns, engage each other in campus activities and decision-making, build mutually beneficial partnerships with individuals and organizations on- and off-campus, and promote and defend our welfare, we hereby establish a Student Government Association (SGA) at UMBC . . .

SGA plays a vital role on campus, and three teams of candidates are vying for the top executive positions for 2012-2013. Come see the candidates for SGA President and Executive Vice President present their visions and debate the issues this Wednesday, April 18th at noon in the Student Organizations Space on The Commons' 2nd floor.
You can help shape the debate by tweeting questions to #umbcsgadb8 (and if your question is asked, you'll get a free t-shirt).
