Overcoming Imposter Syndrome
Identity, Inclusion & Belonging
Friday, November 13, 2020
Impostor syndrome (also known as impostor phenomenon, impostorism, fraud syndrome or the impostor experience) is a psychological pattern in which an individual doubts their skills, talents or accomplishments and has a persistent internalized fear of being exposed as a "fraud".
UMBC being a diverse campus values the richness that diversity brings to our campus. The Initiatives for Identity, Inclusion & Belonging creates opportunities for students to build their awareness and knowledge of diverse people, cultures and belief systems (i3b). Through facilitated discussions, informal gatherings, educational engagements, presentations and campus-wide events, individual students, student organizations and classes learn the skills to create inclusive, just and mutually respectful communities at UMBC and beyond.
Please join us in this training and join the discussion after the presentation.
