I’m asking some of the people you might encounter on the UMBC campus, including students, faculty, staff and alumni, to answer a few questions about themselves and their experiences. These are their responses.

Q: How long have you been at UMBC?

A: 2 years

Q: What is your current title (job or student organization position)?

A: Finance Board Member, Student Government Association; Advertising Committee Member, Relay For Life; Fundraising Chair and Brother, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated; Representative, Student-Athlete Advisory Council (Cross Country, Track & Field)

Q: In 12 words or less, what role(s) do you play on campus? 

A: a unifying factor among different groups on campus

Q: What aspect of your UMBC role(s) do you enjoy most?

A:  meeting new people and simply talking with them because communication is one of the greatest joys (not to sound corny lol)

Q: What is the most important or memorable thing you learned in college/have learned at UMBC?

A:  College and everything it encompasses is a business and they will rob you of your money if you don't speak up and take matters in your own hand

Q: Complete this sentence: "I am a big fan of __________"

A:  people who never give up

Q: Do you have any UMBC stories, little-known facts about UMBC, favorite spots on campus, or anything else you’d like to share?

A: Back in the day we used to have 2 gyms...and we had parties that were like that on campus lol...attracting people from different colleges/universities. Also no matter how long you've been here you can always find something new if you go exploring.
