Be Counted

Once in a decade, the government of the United States undertakes the great counting process upon which hinges your political representation and funding for government programs.  If you are a college student during the census, you may wonder: Am I supposed to fill out the form?  Will I be counted as a part of my parents' household if I plan to move back in with them after the school year?

The short answer is, you should fill out the form at your current address (whether that's on-campus housing or someplace off campus), not at your parents' address.  Here's a two-page guide prepared by the U.S. Census Bureau specifically to address college students' questions.  Give it a read!
