Real People Profiles: Nayaba Bawa

I’m asking some of the people you might encounter on the UMBC campus, including students, faculty, staff and alumni, to answer a few questions about themselves and their experiences. These are their responses.

Q: How long have you been at UMBC?

A: 3 years this fall.

Q: What is your current title (job or student organization position)?

A: Vice Chair for Leadership Consultants, Resident Assistant

Q: In 12 words or less, what role(s) do you play on campus? 

A: Helping students find the leader in them and helping them gain a well rounded college experience.

Q: What aspect of your UMBC role(s) do you enjoy most?

A:  Helping others grow and bring out their best potentials, helping in creating family and community on campus.

Q: What is the most important or memorable thing you learned in college/have learned at UMBC?

A:  Being involved on campus makes a world of difference when defining your UMBC emperience.

Q: Complete this sentence: "I am a big fan of __________"

A:  Competing dance teams; it just makes me feel inspired in a different way.

Q: Do you have any UMBC stories, little-known facts about UMBC, favorite spots on campus, or anything else you’d like to share?

A: UMBC is a beautiful campus, I think as a student if you ever want to get away from your busy schedule one of my favorite spots to sit and think is the bench right in front of undergraduate admissions. It is a really nice and peaceful place to sit right in front of the lake and do nothing but relax.
