For regular updates, please join GSA group!
Hello everyone, I hope you all have enjoyed the holiday break. I have a few announcements so thank you in advance for your attention:
1. Graduate Orientation: GSA is looking for volunteers to help with Graduate Orientation on January 17th from 2:30-5pm in the Performing Arts and Humanities Building. We are looking for tour guides to lead campus tours for new graduate students as well as table representatives for the GSA information table. This will be a chance to meet incoming grad students, most of whom will be international students. To go over simple responsibilities and as a thank you, we will host lunch in the Skylight Room on January 10th or 15th , if you are interested please respond and let us know which date works best. Please forward this to any graduate students you think might be interested.
2. January Town Hall: Please also help us spread the word that our GSA January Town Hall will be held on January 14th, 1-3pm in Commons 331. This will cover recent developments regarding Title IX related topics, the Retriever Courage initiative as well as any other general topics wished to be discussed.
3. GSA T-shirts: Each year for graduate student week we give out a new GSA t-shirt and we need your help to come up with designs ideas. This year Graduate Student Week will be on March 25-29 and if you are interested in submitting a design for the GSA t-shirt, please email your design to gsa@umbc.edu by February 1st. The student whose design is chosen at the February 4th Senate meeting will be compensated $100 for their efforts!
Please let us know if you have any questions!
