Our conference theme: CRT-L: The Intersection of Inclusion and Equity

This year our conference spans two days: Thursday, April 19 and Friday, April 20 with a pre-conference CRT Institute on Wednesday, April 18, 2018.

Our day one keynote is Dr. Kimberly R. Moffitt, associate professor of American Studies and affiliate assistant professor in the Departments of Africana Studies and Language, Literacy and Culture Ph.D. program at UMBC. On Friday, the conference day begins at 8 AM, with a keynote address by Dr. Gloria Ladson-Billings, an American pedagogical theorist and teacher educator on the faculty of the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Education and researcher at the Wisconsin Center for Education Research. She is currently Assistant Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs. Ladson-Billings is known for her groundbreaking work in the fields of Culturally Relevant Pedagogy and Critical Race Theory.
