Real People Profiles: Iman Hall

I’m asking some of the people you might encounter on the UMBC campus, including students, faculty, staff and alumni, to answer a few questions about themselves and their experiences. These are their responses.

Name: Iman  Hall

Hometown: Ellicott City, MD

Q: How long have you been at UMBC?

A: 3 1/2 years

Q: What is your current title (job or student organization position)?

A: Student Campus Director, Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU), nanny, social activist

Q: In 12 words or less, what role(s) do you play on campus?

A: I love showing people how they can do something about the atrocities in our world.

Q: What aspect of your UMBC role(s) do you enjoy most?

A: I absolutely love people and hearing their stories. Both my position in CRU and as a social activist have allowed me to learn so much about life and how the human heart cannot truly thrive in life without true love in thought and in action.

Q: What is the most important or memorable thing you learned in college/have learned at UMBC?

A: I'm so thankful that I attend a school with so many students who love to help others. I am so blessed to be surrounded by people who follow through on their faith in something with action. It's really inspiring.

Q: Complete this sentence: "I am a big fan of __________"

A:  Smiling.

Q: Do you have any UMBC stories, little-known facts about UMBC, favorite spots on campus, or anything else you’d like to share?

A: Yes! Two things... there is at least ONE event on campus with free food per day, it seems, and the Office of Student Life and the MOSAIC are wonderful, important parts of UMBC. They were a HUGE help as the Invisible Children club on campus began it's run. 🙂
