Real People Profiles: Emily Krause

I’m asking some of the people you might encounter on the UMBC campus, including students, faculty, staff and alumni, to answer a few questions about themselves and their experiences. These are their responses.

Name: Emily Krause

Hometown: Forest Hill, Maryland

Q: How long have you been at UMBC?

A: 1 year (second semester)

Q: What is your current title (job or student organization position)?

A: Sigma Alpha Epsilon Pi Pledge, CWIT Scholar, UMBC Woodwind Quintet oboist, and lots more!

Q: In 12 words or less, what role(s) do you play on campus? 

A: I become involved with extracurriculars and help others do the same.

Q: What aspect of your UMBC role(s) do you enjoy most?

A: Sorority pledge. Greek Life is really great at UMBC.

Q: What is the most important or memorable thing you learned in college/have learned at UMBC?

A: Leadership is a big part of who I am, and who I can be. The STRiVE program taught me that, and I will never forget that.

Q: Complete this sentence: "I am a big fan of __________"

A:  Music! I'm a music minor and I'm addicted to it.

Q: Do you have any UMBC stories, little-known facts about UMBC, favorite spots on campus, or anything else you’d like to share?

A: A little known fact on UMBC is that there is a lot to do that is fun as well. A lot of people think that there aren't fun things to do, but there are a lot! Just get involved and there will be way too many opportunities to do what you love. 🙂
