Conference: Race, Racism and Baltimore’s Future

A Focus on Structural and Institutional Racism


The Fifth Social Determinants of Health Symposium will consider how racism embedded in our criminal justice, healthcare and education systems affect people of color in Baltimore every day, with an impact that spans generations. Race, Racism and Baltimore’s Future: A Focus on Structural and Institutional Racism will bring together experts from Johns Hopkins, Baltimore, and cities across the country.  Along with local community leaders, they will explore new approaches to understanding these forms of racism and ways to address them through collaborative efforts.
