UMBC is full of treasures and oddities hidden in plain view. Here's one of them. Where is this diamond in the rough? Let us know by email at CoCreateUMBC [at] umbc.edu. Bonus points for sending us a photo of yourself at the location of this image (by email, or via the Co-Create UMBC Facebook page or Twitter (#PicUMBC)). The prize for being the first to identify the location of this treasure/oddity correctly (and specifically): You'll be celebrated in the next PicUMBC post.

For the first time, we got no correct responses to a PicUMBC clue, indicating a high degree of difficulty! Rather than giving away the answer just yet, we're going to pull back a little and see if that makes this landmark from one of UMBC's academic buildings recognizable:
