Real People Profiles: Breana Echols

Q: How long have you been at UMBC?

A: This is my second semester at UMBC.

Q: What is your current title (job or student organization position)?

A: Member of SGA and (seb) committee, and Communications Director of the Resident Student Association.

Q: In 12 words or less, what role(s) do you play on campus? 

A: I try to improve student engagement and student life on campus.

Q: What aspect of your UMBC role(s) do you enjoy most?

A: I mostly enjoy the variety of new people that I am constantly meeting as I participated in different activities with the organizations that I am involved in.

Q: What is the most important or memorable thing you learned in college/have learned at UMBC?

A: Though I often love getting involved in many activities I was at first afraid that as a freshman I wouldn't have many opportunities to become so active. At UMBC I have learned to just go for it and be more confident in my skills.

A: Pinterest.

Q: Do you have any UMBC stories, little-known facts about UMBC, favorite spots on campus, or anything else you’d like to share?

A: One of my favorite spots on campus is actually a study lounge in Erickson where I can see all of Erickson field while getting some peace and quiet to study.
