The Best of UMBC

by David Hoffman and Craig Berger

Let's do a little crowdsourcing to identify some of the best activities, courses, dining options, places, hidden resources, musical groups, etc. at UMBC. "Best" is entirely a matter of opinion, of course, but here's a chance to share your own and discover others'. The format is: Make up three categories and name UMBC's "best" in each category.

David's "Best of UMBC" List:
  • Best Spot for a 4-Person Meeting: Soft chairs in the corner of Starbucks closest to the Bio building.
  • Best Resource You Get Free With Membership in the UMBC Community: Access to every book in the University System of Maryland libraries.
  • Best UMBC-Related Hashtag: #UMBCgrit, although I'm also a big fan of #digUMBC
Craig's "Best of UMBC" List:
  • Best Homecoming Activity: The Bonfire.
  • Best Place for Unplanned Purchases: The Yum Shoppe.
  • Best Place to Hold a Day-Long Meeting: The UMBC Training Center (in Columbia)
Your turn!
