UMBC Black and Gold Award Recipients

UMBC's students and student organizations contribute so much to the life of this campus that it's a little misleading to choose just a few as recipients of UMBC's Black and Gold Awards.  The awards ceremony on Monday night was really a celebration of a lot of collaborative work.  But the recipients certainly have done wonders . . .

Social Event of the Year: Hilltop Independent Short Film Festival (Interdisciplinary Film Association)

             

Cultural/Diversity Event of the Year: Pistahan 2010--Kalooban (Filipino American Student Association)

Weekend Event of the Year: A Capocalypse (UMBC Mama's Boys)

Off the Leash Event of the Year: INDS Benefit Concert (Interdisciplinary Studies Council of Majors)

Individual Commitment to Service:  Ben Davis and Sara Kibrom

Non-positional Leader of the Year:  Damani Lewis

Emerging Leader of the Year:  Nimit Bhatt and Mitch Case

           

Senior Leader of the Year:  James McCauley
