Volunteers needed for FIRST LEGO League Tournament!

Graduate Students and Postdocs, if you are looking for an opportunity to provide service and add some experience in your CV, please read the message below.

We are seeking volunteers for the Maryland State FLL Challenge Tournament scheduled for Saturday, February 22, 2025, at UMBC. Our events are run almost exclusively by volunteers - we could not do this without you! The Maryland State Tournament is a culmination of the hard work each team has advanced displayed during qualifiers. We are looking for a Pit Administrator, Lead Judge Queuer, Pit Runners, Photographers, and Score Runners.

Volunteering with FIRST® LEGO® League Challenge is a great way to impact today’s youth in a new and exciting way, with unique roles for every person that are all significant to the success of students. FIRST LEGO League provides students aged 9-14 with a hands-on, interactive robotics program in a sports-like atmosphere. Teams of up to 10 players focus on team building, problem solving, creativity, and analytical thinking to develop solutions to a problem currently facing the world – the Challenge.
