Jessica Burstrem Successfully Presents

her dissertation research proposal

The Language, Literacy, and Culture Program is pleased to announce that Jessica Burstrem of LLC Cohort 23 successfully and skillfully presented her dissertation research proposal on June 17, 2024.

Jessica's project is titled, “Interested: How Shareholder Advocacy and 50 Years of Indigenous Activism Changed the Game and the Name of the Washington Football Team."

After her presentation, Jessica had a substantive discussion with her committee about the next stages of her work. The committee agreed that the project is worthy of doctoral research and helped Jessica consider some key issues as she moves forward into the research and writing.
