Celebrate Black and Gold

What are the three best things about UMBC? In my humble opinion, they're our diversity, our creativity, and the opportunities we have to make a difference together. This is a community truly co-created by its members, and that's extraordinary.

Celebrate Black and Gold (Thursday, May 3rd, 6 - 8 p.m., UC Ballroom, hosted by the Office of Student Life and SGA) is an event that will shine a light on these features of campus life. And like the campus community itself, Celebrate Black and Gold will be a collective production, which means you can--and should--get involved. Want the world to know about something you or your organization accomplished year that made a difference?  Want to give a shout out to a student or an organization that made an outstanding contribution to campus life? Just submit video, photos or text.  You also can sign up to share your talents by performing.

There also will be awards for individual students and student organizations.  Read more and submit your contributions/nominations here.  The deadline is Wednesday, April 25th at 5:00 p.m.
