With: LLC alum Dr. Karsonya Wise Whitehead, Assistant Professor of Communication and African and African American Studies at Loyola University Maryland and author of the new book, Notes from a Colored Girl: The Civil War Pocket Diaries of Emilie Frances Davis; Dr. Ray Winbush, Director of the Institute for Urban Research at Morgan State University; and Dr. Kimberly Moffitt, Assistant Professor of American Studies at UMBC and co-editor of Blackberries and Redbones: Critical Articulations of Black Hair/Body Politics in Africana Communities.
