POSTPONED
The SafeZone scheduled for January 14th will be postponed at this time. We want to put the health and safety of our community at the forefront. There will be new dates shared to sign up. Thank you for your understanding!


This workshop is designed to help students, staff, and faculty to create a more welcoming, affirmative atmosphere for LGBTQIA+ members of the UMBC community. The program includes a variety of activities for community members at all levels of knowledge and comfort with LGBTQIA+ culture and concerns, from basic terminology, core concepts, LGBTQIA+ intersections, to skills-based sessions on pronoun usage and allyship development. Once completed, participants have the opportunity to join UMBC’s formal network of SafeZone Ally List.
