Description

Workshop Wednesdays w/ i3b are monthly opportunities for faculty, staff, graduate students and adult learners to engage around social justice topics that can support their personal growth and professional development. All sessions are interactive, and designed for skill-building and practice.

Session Focus: Imposter syndrome is a psychological pattern in which an individual doubts their skills, talents or accomplishments and has a persistent internalized fear of being exposed as a "fraud". This is a common experience of minoritized groups and the self-doubt associated with Imposter Syndrome can hold scholars back in a variety of ways consciously and subconsciously. In this session, facilitators will help participants learn what Imposter Syndrome looks like and the ways in which it manifests itself, how we can recognize it in ourselves and others we care about, and how to overcome and obstruct Imposter Syndrome from having such impacts on us.
