Thinking about being a faculty member? Want to know what life as a faculty member is really like at different types of institutions of higher learning? Want to know how to best prepare to be a competitive applicant for these institutions?


In this one hour workshop, you'll learn how faculty jobs differ at research institutions (R1, R2, R3) and other types of institutions like regional comprehensive institutions, liberal arts colleges, and community colleges.


You'll explore which path might be right for you and what these institutions look for in candidates so you can begin to build your portfolio and CV towards these positions NOW.


Finally, we'll point you to some key UMBC resources that can help you if you are pursuing an academic career. We hope you join us!
