Description

Each National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program award is worth more than $100,000. Our speakers have helped to produce several winners. You can be one of them!

The session will be divided in two workshops, one will be hosted on August 18, the other on September 15. 

Part 1    Saturday, August 18, 2018, from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM, "What is the GRFP and when is the best time to apply", hosted at The Hotel at Arundel Preserve.

  • This is an informational session, concurrent with the Summer Success Institute (SSI). 
  • This session is open to all undergraduate students, and first and second-year graduate students.
  • Lunch with participants from the Summer Success Institute is available after the session. FREE

Part 2    Saturday, September 15, 2018, from 10 AM - 3 PM,  "Funding Your Graduate Education" and starting the application with the coaches, hosted at UMBC campus, Sherman Building, Room 003 or Lecture Hall IV.
