Gender-Based Violence in the Immigrant Community

Location

The Commons : Skylight

Date & Time

April 24, 2018, 5:30 pm7:00 pm

Description

In recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, please join us for a brief film screening and a simulation game on current gender-based violence issues affecting immigrant communities. Immigrant women are far more likely to fall victim to employment and intimate partner violence compared to the American-born population. Come experience what it is like to be an immigrant battered woman while learning about how this population is especially vulnerable compared to American born women.

This event will provide you with resources on how to support immigrant survivors. Dinner will be served. This event is open to all!
