"You know you've seen it before: your favorite pop artist dressed in traditionally cultural attire. Is this merely a sign of praise or a form of disrespect? Come out this Thursday and join Zeta Sigma Chi Multicultural Sorority Inc. as we discuss the difference between appreciation and appropriation. "
this semesters theme being cultural appropriation in pop culture. The discussion will be exploring the difference between appreciation and appropriation and will feature Jason Rhodes and Ashley Minner as guest speakers. We would love it if you could forward this event information to other faculty and students and encourage their attendance.
As a multicultural sorority that is deeply rooted in social justice, it is our goal to inform our community about issues occurring in the world today with the hope that students and faculty alike will be moved to make a difference in some way or will at least be more open-minded and aware of such issues.
