Description
Women of Color Collective (WOCC) provides a supportive space for women and femmes of color to come together for conversation, networking, and advocacy. WOCC will continue through the summer in holding a healing space and will center community support + solidarity and self-care for UMBC women and femmes of color.
WOCC will take place in-person in the Women's Center. If you like to receive email reminders and details about the bi-weekly topic , please email womenscenter@umbc.edu to be include on the WoCC list-serv.
Due to COVID-19 Restrictions, our center has a max capacity for 15 people. To ensure you have a seat for WOCC, please try to arrive a few mins early.
These programs follows the Women’s Center Brave Space model to provide a welcoming community and learning environment for women of color interested in cultivating visibility, advocacy, and engagement around the intersections of gender and race. The Women of Color Collective meets bi-weekly throughout the fall and spring semesters.
