Description

Pawsitive Bodies and Minds (PBM) is composed of multidisciplinary programming, highlighting the intersections between cross-cultural diversity, identity, health and medicine. This week of programming engages UMBC community members to think about diversity and inclusion in a different way, specifically on the important role that identity plays into the health of our bodies and minds.

As the world grapples with the impact of the novel Coronavirus pandemic, there have been particular ways in which the virus has amplified inequities that disproportionately impact Black and Brown bodies in the United States. Join us as we explore why these challenges exist and deepen our cultural consciousness as our country addresses this humanitarian crisis.

All undergrads, grads, staff, faculty, and alumni are encouraged to attend! For any questions, please email Carlos Turcios, Coordinator for Student Diversity and Inclusion at carlos6@umbc.edu or The Mosaic at mosaic@umbc.edu.
