Description

In the spirit of Critical Social Justice Week, Student Life's Mosaic Center and the Shriver Center Peaceworker Program are collaborating for a public reading of excerpts from Howard Zinn's critically-acclaimed Voices of a People's History of the United States. This powerful book contains the voices of some of America's most celebrated social and political activists, offering primary source accounts (e.g. journal entries, speeches, informal talks, notes...) that depict an alternative historical evolution of the US as we now know it.

Stop by the Commons Breezeway between 11am and 1pm to hear UMBC's Peaceworker graduates read selected pieces from Zinn's work that will move and inspire you.
