The Language Studies Department is seeking a Full Time-English as a Second Language Continuing Tenure Track Faculty position, effective Fall 2015 (pending budget approval)

 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
  1. Master's Degree in TESOL or a Master's Degree in Applied Linguistics with TESOL concentration or Master's in Education with TESOL concentration.
  2. Two years of full-time (or part-time equivalent) teaching experience in an ESOL program at a secondary or post-secondary level.
Ability to teach French as well as ESL preferred.

  1. Extent and relevance of teaching experience.
  2. Extent and relevance of graduate educational preparation in areas relevant to anticipated course assignments.
  3. Extent and relevance of non-teaching professional experience to anticipated teaching assignments. Example: Curriculum development.
  4. Extent and relevance of scope and diversity of content areas in which teaching assignments can be undertaken.
  5. Evidence of ability to teach effectively within, and contribute positively to, a diverse, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural student population and campus environment.
