Description

After the success of UMBC Hillel’s and the Mosaic Center's “Ask Big Questions” events and the Mosaic Center’s "What's the (T)ea?" dialogues, we invite all UMBC students to consider joining this exciting new dialogue group centering on discussions of faith, social justice and cross-cultural cooperation. These facilitated discussions will challenge students to break down stereotypes and misconceptions about other groups on campus while working together to address the issues that Baltimore and our society faces.

This opportunity will engage a cross-cultural group of UMBC students in 3 monthly discussions over the course of the Fall 2015 semester. The experience will culminate in an end of semester action or project to demonstrate the lessons we have learned, conversations we have had and relationships we have built. Our hope is to offer another group experience in the spring.

Sept. 8th Topic

Identity Crisis: Why Do Race & Religion Matter?

A free, light dinner will be served each month for all participants.
