Description

Teaching at a Community College Part 1: An Insider's Guide to Competing for a Full-Time Faculty Position

Postdocs and graduate students are invited to this interactive seminar, where Dr. Alycia Marshall, chair of the Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) Mathematics department, will discuss what applicants should consider as they prepare for faculty positions. Participants will engage in lively discussion about interpreting job calls, preparing materials, and conducting the interview process.

This is a brown bag seminar. Please bring your lunch with you.

Students who are interested in being nominated for the UMBC/AACC/CCBC
$2000 Teaching Fellows program should participate in the
online community group for PROF-it following each event (see website). If you are not on the list, please speak to Dr. Alexis Williams at Friday's seminar.

You may attend the seminar regardless of your interest in the CCBC/AACC
program. You do not have to be a TA to attend.
