Join the PROMISE Summer Success Institute (SSI) conference held virtually from Thursday to Friday, August 19 & 20, from 1 PM - 4 PM. The University System of Maryland community of underrepresented graduate students and postdocs!
The Summer Success Institute (SSI) conference is a two (2) day event, for new and continuing graduate students and postdoctoral researchers from across all graduate fields, who identify themselves as belonging to historically underrepresented or underserved communities.
The purpose of this event is to highlight the challenges that these particular communities affronts and to create a sense of community and camaraderie across the institutions in Maryland. The conference provides the opportunity to meet and engage with successful alumni, faculty and professionals from the same backgrounds, creating a support system and network of professionals in higher education.
The content of the conference aims to provide insights on how to thrive in graduate school and successfully transition into your future career.
