More about our guest presenter:
Brittany T. Oliver is a women's rights activist and educator born and raised in Baltimore, MD. A graduate of Towson University with a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication, Brittany works at the ACLU of Maryland and volunteers with a number of community-based organizations.
Brittany’s leadership over the years has led her to organize and facilitate a number of community discussions and workshops on media advocacy, gender-based violence, online harassment, the intersections between sexism and racism, creating safer spaces and more.
Her first-hand experiences with online harassment began in 2014 when she started using social media as a tool to speak out about issues affecting her as a Black woman.
Brittany's latest project involves tapping back tap back into her roots. Her passion is to merge the arts and activism to encourage people to take action by sharing their stories too.
