Description

Baltimore City is at the center of the national conversation around questions of justice, race, and community. The Institute for Islamic, Christian, and Jewish Studies is poised to add religious voices to this vital discussion through our 2016 initiative: Imagining Justice in Baltimore.  This year-long series of innovative programs will bring together diverse participants from the city and surrounding areas to read, reflect, and talk about justice.

We invite you to join us as we launch this initiative with a three-part speaker series that focuses on how our religious texts and traditions shape our understanding of justice in the public square.

Najeeba Syeed will present A Muslim Perspective on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.  All events will be held at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture, 830 E Pratt St., Baltimore, MD 21202
