The Study Group on Language and the United Nations in co-operation with the University of Hartford and the Center for Research and Documentation on World Language Problems announces a SYMPOSIUM ON LANGUAGE AND EQUALITY, New York,  Tuesday, April 29, 2014. 

 Participation without charge for UN and UN mission staff, and NGO representatives.  Speakers include Lisa J. McEntee-Atalianis (University of London), Britta Schneider (Freie Universität Berlin), Mark Fettes (Simon Fraser University), Terrence G. Wiley (Center for Applied Linguistics), Esther Schor (Princeton University), Daniel Ward (editor Language Magazine), Helder de Schutter (Katholieke Universiteit Leuven), Andrea Schalley (Griffith University, Australia).
